David from D. A. Kinsella Company gave us a great deal more confidence than the other company. David came to our house and worked out the cabinet, counter, appliance and fixture layouts for all rooms on his laptop. He had pictures of many previous jobs that showed different styles and colors. He listened to our prioritization of "must haves", "like to have" and "we are open to suggestions". His suggestions were all excellent. His sense of which materials, colors and styles go together is marvelous. He brought samples to our house and accompanied us to the tile store and the kitchen/bathroom fixtures store to make selections. When work started, David was at the house almost every day. The workers were there everyday, sometimes a couple sometimes several people. Not only are the workers highly skilled and attentive to details, they are all very pleasant and had some very good suggestions regarding details. They worked hard and cleaned up at the end of the day. As with all such major jobs, occasionally things come up during the work. We could always call and either David would respond. We are very satisfied with all about the experience. Anyone who wants top quality results with high attention to details and service should call D. A. Kinsella Company. My project consists of adding a master bedroom and a dining room to the existing house, and converting an existing small bedroom into a spacious master bath and plenty of closet space. David is one of the owners of the company and the general contractor for my project. He is extremely responsive, professional and good at listening to what we need and then translate our wish list into beautiful designs. He is also very flexible and accommodated several rounds of changes during the planning phase. Because of the careful prep work David and team did, the building permit was approved in record time and the project started way ahead of schedule. I have done small home remodeling before, but I have to say David’s crew is one of the best organized and hardest working crew I’ve ever worked with. Seven weeks into the project, the exterior of the addition is almost done. I am very happy with the work so far and looking forward to the completion of my the project. Definitely recommend to D. A. They showed up when they said they would and they did what they said they would do, and they did it well. We were pleased with them from start to finish. Very reasonably priced. Worked well with us, from easy discussions on the planning to modifications during the build-out. They took an unfinished cinder-block shell and turned it into a part of our home that is livable, functional, and beautiful, including a new rec room, laundry, kitchenette and bathroom, and bedroom, with all-new plumbing, electrical, tile, flooring, walls, and more. I enjoyed the attention David paid to our project. David has absolutely elegant taste and down to the detail, gave me a lot of helpful advice on material selection, overall style, etc. He would spend hours with me in stores trying to find the best tiles for our bathroom which I sincerely appreciated. He is very responsible and always attend my request in a timely manner. I found their price quite reasonable. With the advice I got, I was able to get a stunning result I have been dreaming for, and I think it is totally worthwhile. The crew was professional and friendly, we got along so well that we have been like a family in the last several months of work. I was looking to have an apartment painted ASAP, and within minutes of me submitting a search request, they called me back and scheduled a site visit with 2 hours. This was on Saturday, around 3pm. The let themselves into the unit, gave me a quote over the phone that met my criteria, and they started the job the following morning at 8am... on a Sunday! Not only that, but they worked through the evening hours and left at 10pm. They came back the following day to finish up. read less

David was on-time for all his in-person appointments and was fast and thorough in all his email communications.

David and tbc issued a proposal with clear language that described the scope of the work and what was to be completed with each phase.

As we went through the process, we used email to communicate any changes, updates, tweaks, or any questions we had with the design. All of which, David would answer personally and update the drawings accordingly.

I would hire tbc again for any future plans. read less
